Things you should know

Record sales March 2010

We are delighted to report a record order intake for March 2010, beating the previous record set in December 2009. Demand for our conservatories and orangeries has never been higher. It is clearly too early to say whether the market is recovering from the adverse affects of the financial crisis, or whether Oakminster's reputation is paying dividends as a full service solution...either way it is very good news for the company and its employees.

David Salisbury's

Delivering the perfect partnership...

Oakminster are proud to be the distributor for David Salisbury conservatories and orangeries in the North of England and are the only bona fide distributor of their products in the UK.

David Salisbury conservatories manufactured exclusively from hardwood and are second to none, with over 25 years' experience, they create some of the finest quality bespoke conservatories, orangeries and garden rooms in the UK, North America and Europe.

A conservatory or orangery in timber has a timeless quality feel that you just do not get from any other material. A wooden conservatory has a style and class that just feels right. Our CNC wood machining centers are state-of-the-art and perfectly blend craftsmanship with technology which is why we call it "engineering in wood". Wood is just the perfect natural material for an orangry, conservatory or garden room.

The timber we use

Our environmental policy...

We specialise in using hardwood timbers selected for their qualities of durability, strength, and performance, giving our conservatories their timeless and classic appeal.

Building in timber carries important environmental responsibilities, and when properly managed is far preferable to the use of aluminium or petrochemical-based plastics. David Salisbury is committed to supporting the responsible management of the world's timber resources by promoting the trade in timber and timber products from well-managed forests.

We will not trade in species that are designated as endangered in the wild, and unequivocally condemn illegal logging. We are able to supply a range of our products as Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, under our Chain of Custody certificate TT-COC-2181 and Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) certified under our Chain of Custody certificate BMT-PEFC-0610.
